Born in Gippsland and growing up in far east Gippsland in a small country town called Mallacoota, Ainslie (BVSc, BVetBiol, BAnSc), completed her veterinary degree at Charles Sturt University in 2018.
Having grown up around horses, Ainslie was keen to further develop her skills in all aspects of the equine industry and worked part-time whilst studying her veterinary degree at a local thoroughbred stud here in the Riverina. This role encompassed all aspects of equine reproduction, handling from weanlings to breakers, acute trauma and wound management and luckily enough working with local veterinarians on complex cases.
During her studies Ainslie also spent many weeks in the Northern Territory working alongside other vets carrying out animal birth control programs and gelding station horses. In her final year, Ainslie completed two surgical training courses in both Thailand and India and is keen to bring her new skills to REVS.
In her spare time Ainslie enjoys painting, running, going to the gym and playing with her dog Skye.
Ainslie is very excited to be offered a position at REVS, and is keen to explore all aspects of equine ambulatory practice.
